Albany NY🗽 Citywalk

Albany is a very walkable city where you can explore many of its famous downtown attractions in just half a day. Must-Visit Spots: 🌟 NY State Capitol You can enter and explore the interior. The staircases inside are as beautiful as those in a castle. To the south of the building, there’s an "I❤️NY" sign, making it a super photogenic spot! 🌟 NY State Museum Free admission! The museum features many exhibits about Albany’s urban history. Don’t miss the carousel on the top floor. 🎠 🌟 The Egg / Empire State Plaza This plaza, located between the Capitol and the museum, boasts the uniquely designed Egg theater and four identical agency buildings (the designer’s creative philosophy: copy-paste as art, lol). From the balcony next to The Egg, you can look down into a strange-looking "big hole." It’s odd, but we snapped a photo anyway. The entire plaza is connected by underground passageways, linking the convention center, The Egg, Corning Tower, and other buildings. 🌟 Corning Tower Free to visit! Take the observation elevator directly to the 42nd floor and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Albany. 🌟 George Washington Statue Don’t forget to check out the handsome statue of George Washington, located to the west of the Capitol. You can basically explore downtown from north to south, from top to bottom, without spending a dime. The restaurants here are also quite affordable. We tried The Spinning Gyro (highly recommend the Kofte Kabob Platter!) and Son of Egg (their scrambled egg sandwich is a must-try!). Both were fantastic! #Albany #NYStateCapitol #TheEgg #EmpireStatePlaza #Citywalk #AlbanyNY #TravelAlbany #UpstateNY#travelguiide#Albanyguide
