Woke up early in ABQ and felt like treating myself to some classic French pastries. A quick search led me to Burque Bakehouse β with a stunning 4.9 rating, how could I not go? πββοΈπ¨ Turns out, itβs not a traditional storefront but a charming walk-up window πͺ. All the pastries are displayed right there, baked fresh daily. If you want to sit and enjoy, there are a couple of chairs around the corner . π§ Butter Croissant The layers were perfect β flaky, buttery, and so fragrant that I devoured it before remembering to take a proper cross-section photo π. π Grapefruit Loaf A unique twist on the classic lemon loaf! Subtly sweet and tangy, topped with lavender-infused icing β aromatic and delicious πΈ. πͺ Sesame Cookie Soft and almost Chinese or Middle Eastern in style (like barazek, minus pistachios).
