Albuquerque Food Guide 🍴🌶️
Here’s a roundup of some delicious and uniquely New Mexican eats in Albuquerque. Breaking Bad is a big deal here—there are lots of themed spots, and I’ve tried most of them. Though I didn’t live here long (thanks, COVID 😷), ABQ remains a sweet memory. New Mexico Flavors You Must Try: 🌯 Breakfast Burrito 🌶️ Red or Green Chile (Can’t decide? Go for "Christmas" – both!) 🍪 Biscochito (The official state cookie, brought by the Spanish) ☕ Local Coffee: Pinon Coffee – A local chain with New Mexican pride. 🎈 Fun fact: The red iconic cups are only sold during Balloon Fiesta week at the balloon park—brew coffee only! 📍 Recommended Restaurants: 🇲🇽 El Pinto – A historic Mexican restaurant, huge and iconic. Their red chili ribs are tender and flavorful. 🍔 66 Diner – Near UNM, with a super Instagrammable wall. Known for their shakes served in giant metal cups! 🍛 Indian Pueblo Kitchen – Affordable, delicious, and full of Native American flavors. 🌮 Sadie's – A local Mexican chain with unique decor at each location. Consistently tasty. 🍜 Sawmill Market – A food hall with lots of options. Try the phở and handmade pasta—though the taiyaki ice cream was just okay. 🥞 Weck's – Local brunch chain. Their burritos are huge and satisfying. ☕ Flying Star & Satellite – Local cafés, decent drinks and bites. 🥖 Golden Crown Panaderia – Serves NM specialties like green chile bread, biscochitos, and wedding cookies. 🍪 Celina's Biscochitos – A specialist biscochito bakery, even stamped with the NM flag! 🙈 Popular but Not My Favorite: ➡️ Frontier – Right across from UNM, super big. ➡️ Church Street – Covered in cacti, located in Old Town. ➡️ Tomasita's – Has locations in both ABQ and Santa Fe. ➡️ Two Boys – A local donut chain. Not too greasy, but still very sweet. #FoodReview #GlobalEats #RestaurantRecommendations #AlbuquerqueFood #VisitAlbuquerque #NewMexicoCuisine #BreakingBad #BetterCallSaul #FoodieLife #EatAndExplore 🎉📸
