Nestled at the foot of the majestic Koʻolau Mountains on Oahu, this 400-acre paradise (est. 1982) lives up to its name—"Hoʻomaluhia" means "to bring peace" in Hawaiian. 🌺✨ Designed by the U.S. Army Corps for flood control, it’s now a tropical plant sanctuary with picnic areas galore! ⚠️ Heads up: No more parking/photo ops on the entrance road (safety first!), but plenty of scenic spots inside . 📖 My Alice Moment: As a kid, I adored Alice’s bravery—and travel is my own "mad tea party" 🎩☕.
