Also Had Wagyu Ramen at Park Hyatt Kyoto π
Sorry for the clickbait title! ππ»ββοΈ The ramen was complimentary from the hotel, but the Wagyu beef was my own purchase. ππΈ I found it in the supermarket downstairs at Takashimaya, where it was on sale for less than 600 yen for two slices. If I hadn't already had dinner, I would have definitely bought more! π₯Ή This was my third visit to Kyoto, mainly to experience the Park Hyatt Kyoto and the early morning charm of Nishiki and Sanjo slopes at 6 a.m. But based on my terrible experience at Park Hyatt Tokyo two years ago, I didn't have high expectations. ππΈ I was upgraded from a standard room to a garden-view room, which was still relatively small. The service was much better than the Tokyo Park Hyatt, where even a smile seemed like a rare treat. ππΈ At check-in, the staff half-knelt, and everyone I passed on the way smiled and bowed in greeting. It was like being in an "I person" hell! π But the best service moment was when the room service delivered a nail clipper that I could just take away! The breakfast was pretty standard, with delicious French toast and fruit! You could pay extra for a Japanese breakfast, but since everyone said it wasn't that great, we skipped it. Overall, it was a decent experience, nothing that would make me want to come back again. ππΈ Lastly, no one ever mentioned that at the Tokyo Park Hyatt, there's a small cemetery right next to the corridor connecting the check-in building to the guestroom building! π³οΈ #JapanTravel #Kyoto #KyotoHotels #ParkHyattKyoto π
