How to Explore Kyoto Like a Pro 🏞️ Must-Do City Walk Route (1)

Spend a day enjoying a less-crowded version of Kiyomizu-dera, national treasure gardens, boutique shops, the quaint Kyoto University autonomous zone, and the stunning Kamogawa River at dusk... (The route map is at the end.) 🌊🎒 πŸŒ„ First, wake up early! Friends! Start this route at 7:00 AM. The Yasaka Pagoda is already backlit by then, and although Kiyomizu-dera isn't too crowded, it's nearly impossible to take a photo without people. 🌊🎒 Consider starting even earlier! ⛩️ Kiyomizu-dera Start by heading to Mizu-no-kotoba Pavilion for a distant view of the Yasaka Pagoda. 🌊🎒Walk through Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka, and finally arrive at Kiyomizu-dera. It's a lovely place for an early morning stroll, especially during cherry blossom season. Kodai-ji The karesansui (dry landscape) garden is stunning, perfect for cherry blossom viewing in spring and autumn foliage in fall. 🌊🎒 There's also a small bamboo grove within the garden. 🌊🎒If you arrive too early and the temple isn't open yet, you can visit the Reiko-ji Kannon Hall nearby. #Kyoto πŸŒ‡
