When planning our first trip to Boston, I learned that cannoli are a must-try—and that there are two main spots to get them. I’d heard that Modern Pastry was the best, less touristy, and more local option—so we headed there first. It did not disappoint! We originally planned to just try their famous cannoli, but when we arrived, we discovered they have an adorable café-style seating area and serve a full breakfast menu! We ended up ordering a delicious spread: eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and fresh fruit—all cooked perfectly. I personally thought it was better than the other famous spot in town, though my wife slightly preferred the rival one.
