Amazing Seafood Rice by Copacabana Beach, RiošŸ–ļø

While wandering along Copacabana Beach, my eyes were suddenly drawn to this restaurant called Wave—its light-colored exterior walls paired with wooden tables and chairs, and the glass doors polished to a shine. The decor was clean with a touch of subtle elegance, not as casual as some beachside spots, and it just looked reliable. I quickly pulled up Google Maps to check, and its 4.3⭐ rating was pretty impressive for a tourist area, so I didn’t hesitate and just walked right inļ½ž As expected of a popular beach area in Rio, the waitstaff could speak a bit of English! Though not fluent, they could handle ordering and answering questions about discounts, which was a total lifesaver for someone like me with limited foreign language skills😌. Later, I found out the restaurant is part of the Othon Hotel chain—guests staying at the hotel can get a 10% discount with their room card, which is quite a good deal. But the biggest surprise was the "hidden perk"—diners can use their private underground restroom for free! Anyone who’s been to a beach in Brazil knows how hard it is to find a clean and convenient restroom, so this was seriously a huge plus, definitely worthy of a big thumbs upā€¼ļø The absolute must-try on the menu is the seafood rice🄘! I was shocked when it was served—the plate was almost as big as my face, piled high with shrimp, mussels, and clams. The rice had soaked up all the seafood broth, each grain separate and not sticky. And the best part? It was only 92 reais! That’s almost half the price of what I paid in the city a few days ago, and the seasoning was so well-balanced—no heavy salt to mask the seafood flavor, just fresh, briny goodness in every bite. The value for money was off the charts; I practically wanted to lick the plate clean after eatingļ½ž In comparison, the fried fish was a bit underwhelming—the crust was crispy, but it was way too oily, and after two bites, I felt The mango sauce that came with it was interesting, sweet and sour with a fruity kick, but it just didn’t pair well with the fish, so it wasn’t exactly a standout. We ordered two types of fries—one with cheese powder and one plain—both were crispy on the outside and soft inside, decent enough, but the portions were huge. We each had a few and still left half a plate uneaten. The restaurant also sells fresh coconuts🄄 for 15 reais each—stick in a straw, sit by the beach, and sip the sweet coconut juice; it’s the perfect way to quench your thirst and cut through the grease. The best part was sitting at the outdoor tables in the evening—the sea breeze blew gently, carrying a hint of salt from the ocean. The sun in the distance dyed the sky orange-pink, with people walking hand in hand on the beach and kids chasing the waves. Occasionally, street performers would play samba on guitars, and the music would float over with the sound of the waves. I just relaxed completely, and that lazy vacation vibe kicked in all at onceļ½ž A place this tasty and atmospheric is definitely one I’d want to come back to! #KeepAutumnInTheKitchen #MomentsWorthRecordingEveryDay #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #UnforgettableFoodExperience #MyFoodDiary #RestaurantsToRevisit #ExoticCuisine #FoodAndMusic
