American Vagabond Diary: Dallas
💯Before heading to Dallas, I made a stop at the Fort Worth Water Gardens. The first stop upon arriving in Dallas was the famous downtown attraction, the Giant Eyeball sculpture. I found an indoor parking lot nearby and, upon exiting, spotted a Japanese restaurant. So, I decided to grab a meal there. 🐂There were quite a few homeless people on the streets. After walking just a short distance, I was approached by a man asking for money. I shook my head to decline. It suddenly occurred to me that, according to legend, Texans carry guns when they go out. I quickly scanned my surroundings but didn't see any. Of course, there weren't many people on the streets to begin with. I couldn't tell how much truth there was to this legend. Given the somewhat sketchy appearance of the area, I decided to make my visit brief and leave quickly. 👍Next, I went to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza. After searching around, I couldn't find the museum related to the Kennedy assassination. So, I looked up some travel tips and discovered that it was actually located a short distance away at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. It was only when I got there that I realized the gunman had fired from the sixth floor of this very building during the incident. No wonder the museum's name and location were so distinctive. #RoadTrip #Texas #Dallas
