Amsterdam Royal Palace Reopens π°π·
Step Back into the 19th Century Dutch Kingdom The Royal Palace Amsterdam is one of the key attractions in Amsterdam. It has been closed for a while due to internal events and maintenance but is now open to the public again. Friends visiting the Netherlands for tulips in spring can also take the time to visit this magnificent place. π π Located right across from Dam Square, the palace is the backdrop for the square filled with flying pigeons. The top of the palace is currently under renovation with scaffolding, but it's still beautiful on a sunny day. The spacious square contrasts with the massive palace building, which might give the impression that the palace is closed. However, it is not. The Royal Palace of Amsterdam has always been open to the public as a town hall and only closes during significant state events. π The palace is quite popular, so it's best to book a time slot in advance on the official website. Tickets can also be purchased on-site for 12.5 euros each, and museum cards are accepted. The palace is closed on Mondays. π§ Audio guides are available for free in multiple languages. ποΈ It takes about 2 hours to follow the audio guide and visit each room in detail, explaining the design and purpose of each space. Known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," Napoleon once used it as a palace and had his brother manage and reside here. The palace has been exquisitely designed by several artists, including Jacob van Campen and Rembrandt's students, with natural charm and mythological mysteries hidden throughout. There are many design details that I personally love, making the visit truly worthwhile. #CulturalLandscapes #ExploringTheWorld #Netherlands #Amsterdam #DutchLife #MyLife
