Rue Beignet After falling in love with beignets in New Orleans, I was craving them again on my way back to Texas—so I decided to bring some home for breakfast! This little shop near Baton Rouge has amazing reviews online, and it did not disappoint. The interior is cozy and charming, filled with photos, handmade crafts, and beautiful artwork 🖼️💖. The sweet Asian grandfather at the counter greeted us warmly, asking where we were from and how we found the place—his smile was contagious! 😊 We ordered two 3-piece beignet sets and a small “fingers” (bite-sized beignets). To our delight, he even gifted us an extra plate of fingers! We tried them right away—softer and fluffier than Café du Monde’s, and the powdered sugar was perfectly even, no need to dip every bite 🍯✨. You could really taste the love and care in every piece. We left happily with a big bag of treats, already dreaming of breakfast.
