An Almost Flawless French Dining Experience: Joël Robuchon ✨

After being "impressed" by many LA spots (no shade 😅 — iykyk), finally found a restaurant that can rival European French cuisine. Lucky to catch white truffle season — even pigs eat finer than me LOL 😂 The aroma of white truffle blended perfectly into the pumpkin soup. The only letdown might be the cheese cracker, which made the soup a bit heavy for my taste — personally, it didn’t top the signature truffle soup at Guy Savoy next door. Why this place outshines most LA French restaurants? Because its fusion is perfectly balanced 🫴. The entire menu that night was woven with an Asian fusion thread, offering little surprises of Asian spices here and there — never too much, always just right. It shows the chef’s respect for original flavors, mastery of ingredients, and restraint in innovation — that “less is more” sensibility and taste. The only downside for me was the sorbet dessert with ginger milk curd and popping candy — a bit too “lively” for my palate, maybe to keep us awake by that point 😂. The signature first course was impeccable. For the main, they chose less fatty cuts of Wagyu — smart. The seafood wasn’t cold or fishy like at Guy Savoy, and the fish course with tempura-style technique and French seasoning was a delightful surprise! 🐟✨ Except for the $700 price tag (steeper than the Tokyo flagship), it’s nearly perfect — really wanna try the Tokyo location now!!! 🇯🇵🍴 #JoelRobuchon #FineDining #FrenchCuisine #WhiteTruffle #AsianFusion #LuxuryDining #LAEats
