An Excellent & Affordable French Bistro! 🇫🇷✨
I’ve passed by this place a hundred times, and finally decided to try it today—wow, it’s amazing! How did I sleep on this for so long? 😅 The chef spent 13 years at Bistro Thierry, and the front-of-house sommelier is also a Frenchman from the same restaurant—no wonder they felt so familiar! I ordered a glass of Malbec, and the guy poured us two glasses and threw in a wink 😉❤️. Photo 1 shows my favorite dish of the night—it tastes like spring on a plate! Fresh local squid, lightly seared, served with vinegar-marinated octopus from Western Australia, fresh peas, fava beans, Stracciatella cheese, pickled kohlrabi, grapefruit segments, fennel leaves, and capers—all on a homemade Grenobloise sauce. So delicious, so complex… and only around $20! 💐 The other small plates were fantastic too. The steak was stunning—dry-aged to perfection with a smoky, almost bacon-like aroma. Priced at 65 and served with fries, it totally rivaled the 115 steak I had at a fancy spot last week. 🥩🔥 The place is called Normandy—fun fact, the chef-owner isn’t even French, but he absolutely masters French cuisine! 👨🍳🇫🇷 💬 What’s your favorite affordable French spot in your city?
