An Incomplete Food Diary of New Zealand 🤗
A quick flashback to fill in the gaps ➡️ Part Two! 🥐 Daily Bread (Auckland CBD) Super minimalist and hidden — followed Google Maps, climbed to the top of the wrong building, then finally found the tiny entrance next door. Got there 5 minutes before closing, only an almond croissant left — packed with nuts, flaky even when cool! ☕ Majestic Chose this for hot coffee on a chilly day — highest Google rating nearby. Tiny shop full of pretty tableware. Ordered a flat white as usual — and honestly, better than any we had in the South Island! 😆 🍜 Christchurch Teochean Restaurant That blanched beef was incredibly tender! Wok‑fried hor fun was full of wok hei too. 🦪 Depot (by Sky Tower, Auckland) Tried the Xiaohongshu favorites — all delicious, but the mussels were my favorite! 🍜 Lao Bai’s Beef Noodles (North Shore) Didn’t expect Auckland’s Chinese food to be this competitive — these noodles tasted more authentic than some chains in Shanghai! 🥟 Tianjin Goubuli + Sesame Sauce Tofu Pudding Next morning’s breakfast find — my first time trying this combo, and it was pretty good! 👍 ☕ TOB COFFEE (North Shore’s Korean café) Just around the corner — famous for their house‑roasted beans (bought a bag to take home!). Tried a latte in store — rich and smooth. Busy but cozy, with Korean girls chatting and petting their dogs inside — such a pet‑friendly vibe 🐕❤️. 🛬 Back to China — Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Landed at 6 AM, hungry as a hawk 😅 Walked from one end of the terminal to the other and finally tried: JPG Coffee (airport spot) Taotaoju’s pineapple bun — heated up, with creamy custard bursting out! Yummy, though a bit rich after a few bites. #NZFoodDiary #AucklandEats #CoffeeLover #FoodFlashback #EatLikeALocal #TravelBites #FoodieRecap #SweetAndSavory
