April | Savannah | If You Only Have One Day
April | Savannah | If You Only Have One Day 🌿 Took the train from Charleston to Savannah around sunset, a two-hour ride. After watching the sunset and napping a bit, we arrived~ The sunset glow was so healing and peaceful, check out 🌅 You don’t need a car for a day in Savannah—you can get around entirely on foot~ 🌊 Riverside Walk + Brunch Vic‘s On the River Right by the river, where our day’s itinerary started~ The onion soup was delicious! The pasta was just okay, but overall it’s a safe choice. Remember to make a reservation in advance~ 🎨 Three Museums with Combo Ticket The three museums are not far apart, about a 10-minute walk from each other: Jepson Center Telfair Academy Owens-Thomas House tive, allowing you to experience different styles of art at once~ ☕ Afternoon Coffee Break The Coffee Fox Grabbed a coffee to recharge, then continued exploring the city~ Wandered from the river towards the town center, with scenery all along the way 🌳 City Exploration & Check-Ins Fosyth Park (a central park, perfect for dates) Chippewa Square (filming location of Forrest Gump—the bench has been moved to a museum) The Cathedral Basilica of St. John (a beautiful church with stunning architecture) 🍦 Pre-Dinner Dessert Leopold‘s ice cream Waited in line for about 25 minutes and tried the seasonal rose and lavender flavors~ If you don’t want to wait, there’s a small branch at Savannah Airport. For those not too picky about taste, you can eat there~ The ice cream is creamy and on the sweet side; I later had the strawberry flavor at the airport 🍓 🍽️ Dinner Common Thread Highly recommended! The chef loves creative fusion dishes combining Chinese and Western flavors~ Definitely try their dessert cakes, they’re amazing 🍰! It’s a relatively new restaurant with limited seating, so make a reservation in advance~ Savannah is a small city, covered by old trees, with a very pleasant climate~ It’s perfect for friends who are short on time but want to go out and relax #SavannahFood#savannah#USATravel#Georgia#SavannahTravel#USRoadTrip
