Around Boston | Ogunquit, Maine
We chased the last bits of summer and drove 1 hour and 10 minutes to revisit Ogunquit—a charming Maine town that never disappoints! 🌊 With its crystal-clear blue sea, soft sandy beaches, shallow calm waters, and coastal trails, it’s the perfect spot for travelers of all ages—from kids building sandcastles to seniors strolling by the shore. 🚶 Marginal Way (Coastal Trail) If you want to hike the famous Marginal Way, park at Obed's Parking Lot next to City Hall—it’s super close to the trail entrance, so you won’t have to walk far! Parking is charged by the hour, at $6 per hour. As you walk the trail, you’ll be treated to unobstructed ocean views the whole way: listen to the waves crash against the rocks, feel the sea breeze on your face, and stop at little viewpoints to snap photos—every step feels like a postcard moment 📸. 🏖️ Ogunquit Beach For a day of sun and sand at Ogunquit Beach, park directly in the beachside parking lot. Rates are 8perhouroraflat 45 for the whole day—great if you plan to stay until sunset! There are also some free parking spots for stays under 30 minutes, perfect if you just want to pop by for a quick beach walk or to grab a snack from a nearby kiosk 🍦. The beach’s shallow waters are ideal for kids to splash around safely, and the soft sand is perfect for laying out a towel and relaxing. ⛴️ Bonus Stop: Nubble Lighthouse (York) We made a quick detour to visit the iconic Nubble Lighthouse in York—and it was totally worth it! Parking here is free, and the views are stunning: the white lighthouse perched on a rocky outcrop with the ocean all around 🌟. Just a heads-up, though—if you visit in the morning, the sun will be behind the lighthouse, making it tricky to take photos without harsh backlighting. Try going in the afternoon for better light! #BostonDayTrips #Maine #Ogunquit #OgunquitTravel
