๐ Around LA | Irvine Food Diary | Satisfying That Chinese Craving!
During my short trip to LA, I spent most of my time exploring Irvine โ and finally got to try some amazing Chinese spots around the area! Ate a variety of Chinese meals that totally hit the spot ๐ ๐ Northern Cafe ๐ข Highly recommended on Xiaohongshu โ and it did not disappoint! Their menu is super diverse: skewers, wraps, dumplings, stir-fries โ something for everyone. Loved the assorted cold appetizers and the three-delicacy dumplings! The lamb and beef skewers were juicy and flavorful ๐ Paired with a simple stir-fried veggie โ a perfect, balanced meal! ๐ Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant ๐ฅง A classic dim sum spot โ almost every dish we ordered was delicious! Must-try: Durian mochi โ thin skin packed with rich durian filling ๐ Also loved the steamed chicken feet and rice noodle rolls! ๐ Nice to Meet You Skewer Hot Pot ๐ฒ An all-you-can-eat hot pot with a signature โMercedes-Benzโ triple-flavor broth! The beef was tender, and they had a great selection of seafood: scallops, abalone, even lobster! ๐ฆ So many skewer options โ especially loved the beef-wrapped veggie skewers! The sauce bar was fully stocked and flavorful. Great value, super satisfying โ but expect a long wait for dinner! ๐ Tai Chi Cuisine ๐ฅ Craving a classic Chinese breakfast? This is your spot! Their soy milk and fried dough sticks (youtiao) hit the spot, and the steamed buns were fluffy and tasty. The jianbing (savery crepe) was huge, and the self-serve cold dishes were decent. But the real stars were the soy milk, youtiao, and baozi! ๐ The Noodle House (Rowland Heights) ๐ Stopped here for a quick lunch before my flight โ a random find but a good one! The pineapple bun was buttery, soft, and amazing โ we had to order another! The beef brisket noodles tasted just like home ๐ Other dishes were solid, but those two stood out. It was packed at lunchtime! #LATravel #Irvine #IrvineEats #IrvineArea #CaliforniaTravel #IrvineFoodFinds #LAArea
