🌟 Asheville Food Adventures | Random Find Was Better Than the Hype 😶

We only had one day in Asheville, so we planned two meals: lunch at a Spanish spot from a recommendation, and dinner at a random find. 📍 Cúrate | Spanish Restaurant Located downtown with street parking available. Very popular—even past peak lunch hours, it was still packed. Here’s what we tried: 🔸 Squid Ink Pasta: A giant black plateful. Firm texture, pretty salty. The server portions it for you based on group size. 🔸 Mushrooms: A small plate with mixed mushrooms—sour and salty. I liked it, but skip if you don’t enjoy tangy flavors (my mom wasn’t a fan). 🔸 Octopus & Mashed Potatoes: Pretty standard. The octopus was tender, not chewy, but nothing special. My mom liked this one. Overall: Pricey, small portions, average taste. Just… fancy. ❌ Not recommended. Low value for money. 📍 DEL VECCHIOS | Italian Restaurant Located further out, near the highway (if I remember correctly). A casual American-style spot focusing on pizza and pasta. We randomly picked it because we were hungry—and everyone loved it (even my mom, who usually isn’t into this type of food!). 🔸 Supreme Pizza: Loaded with sausage, beef, mushrooms, peppers, and black olives. 14 inches—HUGE! The server had to put it on a separate table! 🔸 Garlic Knots: Super tasty little bread bites served with homemade tomato sauce. We got 6—perfect amount. 🔸 Fresh Tomato and Basil Pasta: Delicious and generously portioned (like a whole basin!). Comes with two small bread rolls (so if you order this, maybe skip the garlic knots… we were stuffed!). I looked it up later—seems like no one has shared about this place yet! ⭕️ Amazing value. Everything was a hit. Highly recommend! #RestaurantRecs #AshevilleFood #HiddenGems #FoodieFinds
