Update: On 7/8/18, when my fiance and I called this restaurant to speak with a manager, the employee who answered the phone stated "Uh, we're really busy right now. Can I take down your information and the manager will call you back?" So we gave the information over. Guess what? No call as of today, July 10th. Horrible customer service and management. I debated for awhile on whether or not I should post this review, but I hope that it will be taken into careful consideration from the employees. I have ordered from this location on several occasions - at least five times in the last three months. Each order is always place with the anxiety of whether or not I am going to receive what I ordered. Four of the five times I have ordered their large Garden Salad with chicken added for protein. Such addition warrants an up-charge (which is fine - I am more than happy to pay the difference); however, whenever the salad I order is delivered it is ALWAYS wrong. In just the last hour (on 7/8/18) I ordered the exact same thing, and what I received is a small salad with no chicken and the incorrect dressing!
The first two times this happened, I overlooked it as a small mistake and made excuses for them - perhaps the location was busy, new staff, etc. But this has happened every. single. time! I can't keep overlooking it, especially when I am PAYING for the cost of the chicken, size of the salad, etc. It's inexcusable at this point. The location is being rated low because it is unreliable, which is not good business practice. I shouldn't have to double-check my meal every time I order to be sure that they followed through with what their customer has ordered. It's a salad! It's not like I'm modifying it in some outrageous way either. I am simply selecting what their menu has to offer, and yet they cannot meet the demand. I am discouraged from placing orders here, and I strongly feel that the staff lacks concern for their failures. Please inform your staff to be more thorough. I cannot be the only customer...
Read moreI ordered carry out from here because I saw they have Chicago deep dish pizza, one of only two pizza places that I know of in the Asheville area that serves this. I was born and raised in Chicago and grew up on many different restaurants version of that. This was a good take on it. I was excited and happy to see they offer vegan cheese too, not something many pizza places do. The biggest downfall was their sauce is watery so not only did the cheese slide to one half of the box (you can see in the pic there are cheese-less slices), but when I slid it out of the back seat of the car, my seat (and eventually my clothes) got covered in pizza juice lol. They should recommend putting it on the floor so it can lay flat.
The fries were good, just a hint of garlic flavor, and I got them without the Parmesan cheese. The garlic bread was really good, especially with the dipping marinara. Great value for what you get. The dessert fried dough was bland without the lemon sauce, and delicious with the sauce. It says it has sugar sprinkled on it, but I couldn’t tell, it just tasted like dough to me. The zucchini pancake was probably my favorite of everything. I ordered it to have for breakfast this weekend since I was going to be staying up late and not feeling like cooking. It’s really good with and without the marinara dipping sauce.
I appreciate they are offering curbside service. When you order online it says you will get text updates, but I only got one that said my order was placed. I ended up calling when it was 15 minutes after the time it said it would be ready and they said to listen for my name when they bring it out, someone would call for me. Less than 5 minutes later a nice woman called me from the door and I waved her over to my car.
I’ve been looking for a local pizza place for my family and this is a...
Read moreMy wife and I have been back numerous times, last month we brought her parents to it for the first time and they loved it, and we bought my mom for Mother’s Day and she absolutely loved it too. The only criticism I’ll throw out there because it’s literally it, was the last time we ordered garlic knots, the flavor was great but they were hard as a rock and second to last time we went, my wife ordered a slice with ham, and pineapple and the pineapple on the pizza had mold on it. I’m guessing whomever was cooking was in a rush to miss that BUT they replaced that slice with something different for her and had it out fast. All in all, we will definitely be back!
Edit a week later: The consistency of this place is shaky, today I decided to try the pork loin and Gruyère sub with apricot horseradish sauce, an order of garlic parm fries and my wife got their bbq wings! The bbq wings my wife said were good, the parm fries were tasty but my sub was terrible. I couldn’t tell it was pork as it tasted and looked like turkey right from ingles deli, it was cool at the center so it wasn’t cooked all the way, it was very bland and had hardly any apricot horseradish sauce. I didn’t taste any horseradish at all, it seemed like someone just put some apricot jelly on it. We had some canolli’s and one of them had hardly any filling in it and the shell was very soft like it was refrigerated and then left out and warmed up some then put back in the fridge and left back out. Never again on those.
Seems like this place is good at pizza, wings and Stromboli’s. Everything else has not been...
