Asheville Food Spots|Random Find Beat the Hype😶
We only had one day in Asheville, Lunch and dinner. Lunch was at a Spanish restaurant we found on Xiaohongshu, Dinner was a random pick we walked into. 📍Cúrate | Spanish Restaurant Located downtown, street parking available. It was packed even past peak lunch hours. Here’s what we tried: 🔅 Squid Ink Paella – super dark, firm texture, pretty salty. Served family-style, staff portions it for you. 🔅 Mushrooms – assorted mushrooms in a tangy, salty sauce. I liked it, but skip if you’re not into sour flavors (my mom wasn’t a fan). 🔅 Octopus & Mashed Potatoes – decent. Tender octopus, easy to chew, but otherwise not memorable. Mom liked this one though. Overall felt overpriced, small portions, average taste. Just… fancy. ❌ Not worth it IMO. Low value for money. 📍DEL VECCHIOS | Italian Restaurant Located further out, near the highway. Casual American-Italian spot, mostly pizza and pasta. Random dinner choice that surprised us – everyone loved it (even my mom, who usually isn’t into this stuff). 🔅 Supreme Pizza – loaded with sausage, beef, mushrooms, peppers, black olives. 14-inch, HUGE! The server had to put it on a separate table! 🔅 Garlic Knots – so good! Served with housemade tomato sauce. We got 6, plenty for two. 🔅 Fresh Tomato and Basil Pasta – delicious, massive portion (like a whole basin lol). Comes with two small bread knots (so if you order this, maybe skip the extra knots – we couldn’t finish!). Looks like no one’s shared this place yet? ⭕️ Super high value, no misses. Highly recommend! #HiddenGem #AshevilleEats
