Astonishing Yet Heart-Wrenching History đď¸â¨: A Must-Visit Memorial
Despite the government shutdown, we managed to experience ALL the exhibitsâand what a profoundly moving day it was! Walking through the very site where the U.S. officially entered World War II and standing where Japan formally surrendered to the Allies was an unforgettable, spine-tingling experience. đâď¸ The USS Arizona Memorial was both solemn and deeply emotional. Seeing the "tears of the Arizona"âthose small, continuous oil droplets still rising from the sunken battleshipâbrought history to life in the most poignant way. đ§đď¸ The Park Rangers and Naval personnel did an absolutely outstanding job narrating the story of that fateful morning of December 7th. Their dedication and respect added so much depth to the visit. Compared to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola or the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, this aviation museum might be smallerâbut it's utterly unique! âď¸ You can actually see ongoing restoration work, which makes the experience feel alive and evolving. Words truly canât do this museum justiceâitâs a place you have to feel in your heart. â¤ď¸ â ď¸ Important Notes: No bags larger than a small clutch purse are allowed. You'll be on an active naval base, so there are restrictions on where you can go and what you can photograph. I highly recommend planning a full day hereâor even splitting your visit over two days to take it all in without rush. #PearlHarbor #WWIIHistory #USSArizona #LivingHistory #NeverForget #Hawaii
