Ate 8 Meals in Two Days in Arcadia – Here’s What I Had 🍜
1️⃣ Ramen Nagi (inside Arcadia Westfield mall) – Heard it’s the #1 ramen in CA. Friends said there’s always a line, so we went right at 5 PM opening. The noodles are handmade — we also got gyoza (okay) and fried chicken (decent). But the ramen was seriously flavorful! I had the Red King (spicy), and my friend tried the squid ink ramen (a bit salty). Portions were huge — couldn’t finish, took the rest to-go 📦. 2️⃣ Kamakura Mochi (also in Arcadia Westfield) – Not like the usual soft milk mochi — this one was clear and jelly-like, almost like a firm gelatin. The black sugar syrup wasn’t too sweet — really nice. Super filling though, a few bites and I was full! 3️⃣ Night Market Food Trucks (near Arcadia) – Friend took me to a spot with tons of food trucks. Had liangpi (cold skin noodles) 😋, chicken cartilage (just okay, not very flavorful), garlic oysters (seasoning was good, though I’m not huge on oysters). Also tried candied hawthorn, peach gum with snow pear soup, grilled squid, and grilled lamb skewers — the lamb skewers from one truck were absolutely amazing and super fragrant! 4️⃣ Din Tai Fung (Arcadia Westfield) – First time trying their chocolate xiaolongbao — surprisingly delicious! Like molten lava chocolate in a soft, chewy wrapper — like premium truffle flavor. Also had crab & pork xiaolongbao (better than some in NYC — rich broth, melts in your mouth). Mushroom veggie buns were decent. 5️⃣ “Jie” (Street) Restaurant next to Din Tai Fung – Forgot to take photos. Din Tai Fung had a 40–50 person wait, so we ate here first. Tomato egg knife-shaved noodles were tasty. Wanted cold skin noodles but they were sold out, so we got cold noodles (just okay). Watermelon juice — the server asked if we wanted sugar added, and without it, it was not sweet at all 😅. 6️⃣ Three Meows – Drank it two days in a row — so good! Tried green grape & snow pear (even “less sugar” was still too sweet), and cucumber mochi drink — absolutely incredible! Added mochi inside — heavenly!! Also loved cucumber barley drink (everyone approved), though cucumber mochi was still the best. 7️⃣ Mo’s Noodles – Ate here two days in a row — really tasty! $11 for a massive portion — couldn’t finish, had to take it to-go. The noodles were super soft and tender, and the chili sauce was amazing. No wonder it’s so recommended. 8️⃣ Haidilao Hot Pot – Honestly… not good. Only single pots, no split pots. We later realized there’s a 40% discount after 9 PM, but the server never mentioned it 😑. Two people spent $270. #Arcadia #FoodDiary #LAEats #Ramen #XiaoLongBao #NightMarket #HotPot #FoodieAdventure
