Atlanta|First Time Trying Sautéed Tofu Skin with Peppers 🌶️
After watching videos about Harbin’s famous dishes—like jianjiao gan doufu (sautéed tofu skin with peppers), banhuacai (spicy sweet salad), and guobaorou (sweet and sour pork)—I finally got to taste one of them! My family and I visited Kabobs House last Friday, and as a Shanghai native, it was my first time trying jianjiao gan doufu. Surprisingly, everyone loved it! ❤️ But I have one question: does the authentic Northeastern version include beef? The videos I’ve seen don’t show any, but the dish here came with tender slices of beef—still delicious though! My son especially enjoyed the banhuacai and asked me to make it at home—sweet, tangy, and loaded with crunch from cucumbers, potato strips, tofu skin, and peanuts. It’s the perfect customizable cold dish for picky eaters!😊 We also ordered a few skewers—freshly grilled and well-seasoned—and everything hit the spot. For a family of four, the meal came to $88 including tip, which felt like great value. Definitely a satisfying meal that brought a taste of Northern China to Atlanta!👌 📍 Kabobs House 3780 Old Norcross Rd Suite 305, Duluth, GA 30096 #AtlantaEats #AtlantaFood #ChineseFood #AsianCuisine #ComfortFood #FamilyMeal #TofuDish #Skewers #AtlantaLife #FoodieAdventure #NortheasternChinese #TrySomethingNew #AtlantaRestaurants #DuluthEats
