Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

Atlanta | Italian Cuisine | La Grotta

The restaurant had been highly recommended by friends many times, but it was really hard to get a reservation. Even booking a week in advance, the earliest available time was 8:45 p.m. ✨I ordered a bunch of dishes based on the recommendations, and they were all pretty good. ✨This restaurant is said to be the best Italian restaurant in Atlanta, but I’ve always been a bit skeptical about such high-level claims. This time, we happened to book a table here for a friend’s birthday, and it felt like ticking off an item on my to-do list. ❤️Overall, the most impressive dishes were the melon and prosciutto and the confit duck. They were so good that we wanted to order another serving after finishing them. We also tried the penne bolognese, which is a staple at almost every table. It was delicious, but it lacked a bit of that wow factor. For starters, we ordered Prosciutto di Parma con Melone (melon and prosciutto) and mussels. The flavors were quite nice and very fresh. For the main course, we had Anatra alla Griglia e al Confit (grilled duck breast and confit duck leg), which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The penne bolognese was also good. ❤️The dessert, panna cotta, was pretty standard but beautifully plated. The prices were reasonable, and overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend it and would consider coming back. #AtlantaLife #ItalianRestaurantinAtlanta #AtlantaFood
