šŸ¦ž Atlantic Fish Company: Boston’s Timeless Seafood Staple—Since 1978

At 761 Boylston St, this (est. 1978) seafood spot is my Boston go-to—consistent, reasonably priced, and way better than overhyped alternatives (looking at you, Legal Seafoods, which has gotten pricey and underwhelming). Perfect for graduation dinners or showing visitors the best of Boston’s seafood scene. šŸ’° The Deal: Expect $70–80 per person with apps, mains, and drinks—totally worth it for the quality. šŸ² Must-Order Dishes (No Skips Here) New England Clam Chowder 🄣 • Iconic. Creamy, rich, and not a hint of greasiness. Pro move: Get it in a bread bowl (though I swear they switch between bread bowls and regular bowls randomly—conspiracy theory: they know when you’re here for the ā€˜gram šŸ˜‚). Lobster Obsession šŸ¦ž • Maine Lobster Roll: Chunks of sweet lobster in a buttery roll—classic, no frills, perfect. • Lobster Carbonara: Their signature! Creamy pasta tossed with lobster—indulgent, salty-sweet, and so satisfying. • Lobster & Scallop Ravioli: Pillowy ravioli stuffed with lobster and scallops in a light sauce—luxurious, but not heavy. • Steamed Lobster: Simple, fresh, but skip the basic lemon butter (the lobster itself is star enough). Tuna Tartare šŸ£ • Fresh, diced tuna marinated with a hint of wasabi, topped with flying fish roe. Served with crispy taro chips for scooping—crunchy, creamy, and bright. Always order this. New England Cioppino šŸ… • A massive bowl of tomato broth loaded with shrimp, clams, fish—tangy, herby, and perfect for sharing. So much seafood, you’ll need extra bread (see below). šŸ„– Minor Rant: Bread Basket Downsize Remember when they had 3–4 types (including that addictive breadstick)? Now it’s just one. Sad face 😢. šŸ° Dessert to Try Next Time: Boston Cream Pie—I’ve lived here ages and somehow haven’t tried theirs. Adding it to the list! If you want reliably amazing seafood that feels like ā€œclassic Boston,ā€ this is it. Skip the tourist traps—Atlantic Fish Company has been doing it right for 45+ years, and that’s saying something. #BostonSeafood #ClassicEats #LobsterLovers
