Auckland’s #1 Sauce — It’s So Good You Could Dip Shoe Soles in It! 👟
After seeing endless posts about this spot, my stomach and brain finally teamed up and drove me there — just had to see for myself 👀 🦐 The “Number One” Seafood Platter in Auckland Got there right as they opened — already almost full, mostly with local Māori and Pacific Islanders. That tells you how beloved this place is! 🦞 Seafood Boil (aka Seafood Platter) Basically seafood drenched in garlic butter chili sauce, eaten with your hands! The aroma hit me before I even walked in — this sauce is so good, you could dip shoe soles in it 👟💥 The platter came with mussels, shrimp, half a crab, potatoes, corn, and an egg. Honestly, the sauce carried the whole dish — saved some to toss with noodles later… can you imagine how amazing that would be?! 🍜✨ 🥔 But — too many whole potatoes, couldn’t finish them all. 🦞 Lobster claw was super hard — not pre‑cracked, a real test for your teeth 😬 ✅ Worth a stop if you’re nearby, but maybe not a special trip. Is it really Auckland’s 1? Well… that’s up for debate 🤓 Prices start around $40 for one portion — and it’s hearty (we shared between three, thanks to all those potatoes!). 🛍️ Bonus: Black Friday sales at Dressmart are pretty good — cute PJ sets at Peter Alexander are a steal! 🐕👚 📍 Manaia Seafood Boil #SeafoodFeast #AucklandSeafood #AucklandEats #NZFood #SeafoodBoil #OnehungaEats #GarlicButterSauce #FoodReview #LocalFavorites
