Auckland's Dreamy Underwater World|I Really Want to See Penguins 🐧
After being in Auckland for so long, I finally visited the aquarium! 🐧 Though it's smaller compared to ones back home, it’s full of lovely surprises. 📍 Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium 23 Tamaki Drive, Auckland 🚗 By Car: ~10 minutes from the city center, free parking available at the entrance. 🚌 By Bus: Take the Link Bus and get off at Tamaki Drive, then walk ~5 minutes. ⏰ Opening Hours: 9:30–17:00 daily (last entry at 16:00) 🌟 Must-See Highlights: ✔️ Underwater Tunnel: Sharks 🦈 and rays swimming right over your head — 360° view is breathtaking! ✔️ Penguin Habitat 🐧: Antarctic-themed zone (it’s chilly!), watch penguins waddle and slide on the ice — so cute! ✔️ Touch Pool: Get hands-on with starfish and seashells 🐚 — kids love this! ✔️ Interactive Projection Zone: Fun and educational for families 👨👩👧👦 📸 Photo Tips: The blue-white lit tunnel near the penguin area is dreamy — use wide-angle mode! Mid-section of the underwater tunnel with sharks is perfect for videos 🦈 Don’t miss the adorable penguin plushies at the gift shop on the way out 🐧 👀 Pro Tips: Weekdays are less crowded, better for photos Book tickets online in advance — usually cheaper than at the door You can explore the whole place in about an hour or two — feels like you’ve been submerged in the sea all afternoon 🌊 Totally refreshing! Afterwards, you can stroll over to nearby Mission Bay for more views and vibes. #AucklandAquarium #MissionBay #ThingsToDoInAuckland #Penguins #AucklandTravel #WeekendInAuckland #OceanMagic #SeaLife
