Auckland Food Diary|Beef Wellington Experience💫
Beef Wellington day 💕 I tried the much-anticipated Beef Wellington in Auckland 🥩. I have to say the doneness of the steak was spot on—it was tender and juicy, not tough or dry at all, and you could taste the delicious meat juice with every bite. The truffle sauce was extremely generous, and each mouthful was filled with a rich blend of mushroom and nutty aromas 🌰. However, the downside was that the pastry on the outside was a bit thick, making it a bit dry when eaten. All in all, I’d give it a 7 out of 10 ✨. Instead, the small pizza we ordered as an appetizer 🍕 was a pleasant surprise! The pizza was topped with mushrooms and ricotta, and the crust was amazing—chewy and elastic with a great texture. The toppings were already full of flavor, and the chef also sprinkled fresh fennel and cilantro 🌿. One bite, and it felt like stepping into a creamy cheese forest, with layers of aromas bursting in your mouth. I absolutely loved it! The roasted cauliflower 🥦 also deserves a special mention. The accompanying sauce was really innovative, with a light curry aroma mixed with the sweet and sour taste of cranberries 🍒. It had an incredibly rich texture, completely changing my perception of cauliflower. I highly recommend giving it a try! Unfortunately, the dessert was a letdown 😫. The restaurant’s innovative version of tiramisu was a total no-go! It didn’t have the silky texture or coffee and wine aroma of classic tiramisu at all; the texture and flavor were both off, making it a small regret of this meal. #Auckland #NewZealandFood #NewZealandTravel #NewZealandNorthIsland #FoodSharing #NotAFoodCriticJustLoveFood
