Autumn in Washington & Halloween Memories 🎃🍂
Looking back at these photos from my time in the U.S. last year—the Halloween decorations on the streets of Washington D.C. still leave a vivid impression! From ghosts dangling between trees to pumpkin lanterns nestled in front yards, every household put effort into creating a whimsical and playful festive atmosphere. For the kids, the highlight was undoubtedly "trick-or-treating"—the joy of carrying a pumpkin basket and knocking on doors for candy has become one of their most cherished childhood memories. The maple and oak trees lining the streets also quietly changed their attire, layered in shades of gold and crimson. When the autumn wind blew, leaves fell like feathers, adding a touch of poetry to the capital. Yet, having traveled to many places, I still believe autumn in Beijing stirs the soul most profoundly—the reed catkins at Taoranting, the ginkgo trees at Diaoyutai, the red leaves of Xiangshan... That kind of autumn, steeped in the aura of an ancient capital through six dynasties, is irreplaceable anywhere else. Where is the most beautiful autumn in your heart?
