Awesome! Tampa! Perfect for a short student trip! 🤤

🌊 Where to stay / What to do / What to eat in Tampa, FL! 🌴 (一) Stay 🏠 If you don’t have a strong preference for hotels, I highly recommend staying in an Airbnb! Since we wanted to visit both Weeki and Sarasota, we chose a location in between—around FL 33615. Three nights cost just over $200 per person! (二) Do 🐬 ① The Dalí Museum General admission is $20. I didn’t opt for the panoramic ticket. The second floor has photography and painting exhibitions. I went around 10 AM and caught a free guided tour! The elderly docent explained everything vividly and clearly. Highly worth it if you love art. ② Dolphin Watching Highly recommended! We booked in advance. Check the weather and sunset time beforehand. It’s super windy on the boat, but the dolphins are adorable. The chances of spotting them are pretty high, but whether they’ll play with you depends on their mood 😉 ③ Weeki Wachee Kayaking ‼️ Transparent kayaks are not recommended! Book through the official service—it’s cheaper, the route is better, and the water is as clear as Jiuzhaigou! The water with transparent kayaks was murky. Even though we saw manatees, the poor visibility wasn’t worth it. Be punctual, wear sunscreen, and don’t forget to tip your guide! ④ Siesta Beach A stunning white sand beach. I prefer it over Clearwater—less commercialized, quieter, and cleaner. Free parking! ⑤ Wakeboarding Honestly, it takes courage to try this in winter. Aim for mid-to-late afternoon when the sun warms the water. Super fun though! Highly recommended for water sports lovers. Bring a towel and band-aids just in case. ⑥ Tampa Aquarium Worth a visit if you have time! Tickets are around $40+ (no student discount). They have a wide variety of marine life, and you can touch stingrays and jellyfish! Well-designed layout—takes about an hour to explore. (三) Eat 🦞 ① Mr. & Mrs. Crab The owner is from Fujian—highly recommended! The lobster legs were tender and juicy, the corn was flavorful, but the chicken wings were just okay. The seafood was great though! Cocktails were delicious 🍹 ② Ulele Pronunciation: you~le~li~ Made a reservation in advance. Easy parking. Amazing food and service! Very popular on Xiaohongshu for a reason. ③ Oxford Exchange Tampa’s most aesthetic brunch spot—lives up to the hype! It was almost full by 9 AM. The pancakes were a bit too big and slightly firm, but everything else was above average. Super Instagrammable! Would definitely go again. ④ Flame Mountain A Northeast Chinese restaurant. Went during Thanksgiving peak season—many dishes were sold out. The guobaorou was delicious (though not super sour). Recommended: skewers and sauerkraut vermicelli! 🔥 ⑤ Buddy Brew Coffee Their affogato is legit! ☕ #NYaround #StudentLife #NorthAmericaTravel #Tampa #Florida #NY #StudyAbroadTravel #Tampa
