Awesome Beaches in Sri Lanka--Unawatuna Beach
The sea in Unawatuna is much more beautiful than that in Mirissa, yet there are very few tourists. This small town is very close to Galle, and it is highly recommended if you want to enjoy the sea. π We visited a more remote beach where there were even fewer tourists and an even better view. There is also a coconut tree swing to experience, where you sit on a wooden bar and swing towards the sky and the sea, costing 300 rupees per ride. If you want to swim in the sea, be very careful of rip currents; it's best to stay within the designated area. β¨ If you accidentally swim out of bounds and encounter a rip current, the waves will carry you further and further away. If you're not a strong swimmer and panic, the consequences could be dire. πββοΈ In the sunset, on the rocks, some people are fishing. In the sea and the waves, some are surfing. π Exiting the beach, you have to pass by a pizza shop where the oven fire is burning strongly, and the fragrance greets you as you approach. After coming down from the Peace Pagoda, we went straight to the sea and dived again with the boat. As we moved further from the shore, the seawater became more transparent. In the shallow waters by the shore that only reached my waist, we could already see a few small fish. Slightly further out, it was even more exciting, with jellyfish, lobsters, and a shipwreck (unfortunately, we couldn't record it as we didn't have an underwater camera). #Unawatuna Beach#Galle#Sri lanka#Sri lanka trip #trip diary# travel guide#galle#Unawatuna
