Ballito Crocodile Park + Food, Drink, and Fun
Ballito, one of South Africa's famous holiday cities, is located to the north of Durban. This time, we stayed in a seafront apartment near Thompson Bay, and the view from the balcony was amazing. Every morning, waking up to such a beautiful scene really brightened our day. π Ballito Crocodile Creek is just a 15-minute drive from the city center, with about 5 minutes of the journey on a bumpy dirt road. We spent around an hour at the park, seeing various crocodiles, listening to the presentations, and even having the chance to take a photo with a crocodile. βοΈ The Waterberry Tea Garden is one of Ballito's most popular cafes. The interior is spacious and bright. Many restaurants in South Africa have kids' play areas, so both children and adults can relax. Their most famous item is the cheesecake. We had the blueberry flavor, which was very filling and delicious. It's said that during South Africa's December Christmas holidays, it's fully booked. I also really enjoyed the South African red cappuccino, which is a unique blend of Rooibos tea and cappuccino. The mix of tea and coffee flavors is quite distinctive. π¦ Mozambik Ballito is an open-air restaurant with Mozambican flavors, mainly seafood. I had the grilled prawns with coconut rice, which were simply fantastic. The slightly spicy sauce was rich and flavorful. Some of the tables are positioned so that you can dip your feet in the water, adding to the holiday vibe. π In South Africa, apart from the Chinese food not being very good, the other seafood and barbecue restaurants are really great. The food is delicious and not expensive. #NotebookInspiration #HiddenGems #BeachHoliday #Beach #Holiday #SouthAfrica
