Baltimore | A Foodie's Journey ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ข๐จ
Last week, I went to JHU for my cousinโs graduation ceremony ๐ and tried a bunch of Baltimore foods highly recommended by locals โ and oh my, was it a delicious trip! Hereโs my food diary to share with you all ๐. 1๏ธโฃ ChoSun Hwaro Considered by locals as the best K-BBQ near Baltimore (in Ellicott City)! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the staff โ especially the friendly servers who grilled everything for us โ were amazing. The cheese steamed egg ๐ง๐ณ and old-school Korean lunch boxes are both visually appealing and tasty! 2๏ธโฃ Oasis Uzbek Kebab House ๐ข Uzbek cuisine that tastes surprisingly similar to Xinjiang food! The decor alone makes you feel transported. Highly recommend the plov (hand-pulled rice), lamb chop kebabs, and grilled chicken wings ๐๐ฅ. 3๏ธโฃ Thames Street Oyster Bar ๐ฆช A once-Michelin-recognized seafood spot! Beautiful plating and even better flavors. The scallop dish was a standout, and the oysters were incredibly fresh. 4๏ธโฃ Blue Moon Cafe ๐ A viral brunch spot in Baltimore! The cafe is small but oozes retro charm. Their Crab Benedict ๐ฆ is loaded with crab meat โ super satisfying! 5๏ธโฃ Water Song Yunnan Kitchen A lovely Yunnan restaurant with a nice vibe. You can pre-order their signature steam pot chicken โ a bit pricey but special ๐ฒ. 6๏ธโฃ Sacrรฉ Sucrรฉ ๐ฐ A dessert shop I absolutely fell in love with! Their treats are both gorgeous and delicious โ and not overly sweet โค๏ธ. 7๏ธโฃ Ceremony Coffee โ๏ธ A coffee shop known for its creative brews. Their iced tea is also refreshing and full of flavor! 8๏ธโฃ Moo Moo Cows ๐ฎ A popular cow-themed ice cream shop with super high ratings! I especially loved the peach pie flavor ๐๐ฆ. Baltimore, you surprised me with your diverse and tasty food scene! If youโre around Maryland, these spots are worth the trip ๐๐จ. #Maryland #Baltimore #FoodTour #TravelEats #JHU #GraduationTrip #FoodieAdventure
