🦀 Baltimore Food | It’s Crab Season! Fall = Crab Feasting Time
With autumn slowly fading, it’s the perfect time to share this year’s crab adventures! One of the great joys of living in Baltimore is devouring blue crabs in the fall. While spots like LP Steamers are famous (and great for tourists), they can be a bit pricey for locals. 🔥 Hwangbooja Korean Restaurant 📍 *13830 Lee Hwy 11, Centreville, VA 20120* Tried Korean marinated crabs (ganjang-gejang & yangnyeom-gejang) for the first time this year! 🦀🇰🇷 Soy Sauce Crab – Pretty fishy 🐟, but edible with rice. Spicy Marinated Crab – Less fishy, and actually enjoyable with rice and sauce! Crab Roe Rice – Couldn’t really get into it 😅 Army Stew (Budae Jjigae) 🍲 – Delicious and generously loaded! Spicy Braised Chicken – Skip it 🚫. Tough chicken and bland broth. Overall – an interesting experience, but raw crab might not be for everyone! 🔥 Captain James Crabhouse 📍 *2121 Aliceanna St, Baltimore, MD 21231* Nothing beats classic steamed crabs with Old Bay! 🧡 All-You-Can-Eat Crab Night (Mon–Thu) – $48 per person 💰 Includes corn 🌽 + soup, 2-hour limit (but they’re flexible!) Crabs were medium-large – much bigger than expected! Flavor was on point – no skimping because it’s AYCE. Pro tip: They don’t serve tap water 💧 – bring cash for drinks or beer! We also ordered sweet potato fries 🍠 – a great sweet-salty combo. We went full Dubai mode – only ate bodies and claws 🦀💥 – and finished 2 dozen between two people! 💪 The first dozen came slow, but the second arrived super fast. Ambitious eaters can easily hit 3 dozen in 2 hours! If you’re in Baltimore this fall – don’t miss out on the crab feast! Whether you prefer Korean-style or classic steamed, there’s something for everyone. #DMVFood #CrabSeason #BaltimoreEats #BlueCrab #AYCE #FallFood #KoreanCrab
