P.S.: Leave early! Bring thick clothes, fill up the gas tank! Download Google offline maps~ For hiking, download AllTrails offline maps! ✨ Along the Icefields Parkway, explore the remaining amazing spots in Banff: · Hector Lake, featuring spectacular glaciers and turquoise lakes. · Bow Lake Car Lot has breakfast by the lake, where you can overlook two glaciers and waterfalls. 💙 Peyto Lake – a must-visit turquoise panoramic lake! There’s an observation deck, which gets crowded. ⚠️ There’s a path down from the observation deck to take crowd-free panoramic photos. 🌟 It’s recommended to hike the Peyto Lake Upper Viewpoint, about 1.5 miles. Continue along the path into the forest for fewer people and stunning photos with glacier views. Easy difficulty. · Mt Patterson Glacier · Waterfowl Lake · Howse Pass Viewpoint · Weeping Wall · Big Bend Then you’ll reach Jasper~ There’s a large rest stop near the icefield with gas stations, shops, and restaurants. 💛 Spotted a 🐻 along the way – so cute! Choose 1 of the 2 icefield experiences: 🧊 Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure: You can opt for the ice explorer vehicle tour. Booking requires selecting an exact time slot. We skipped it for fear of missing the schedule~ 🌟🧊 We chose the Toe of the Athabasca Glacier Trailhead. This 1.5-mile trail is a must! You can get close to the glacier and experience it firsthand – a great alternative to the ice explorer tour. ⚠️ If you keep walking, you can reach the ice explorer area! We didn’t go further because we were worried the kids would be cold~ 🏔️ Tangle Creek Falls: A nice roadside waterfall! Dined in Jasper Town The town is quiet – loved it~ Accommodation: Whistler’s Inn – recommended!
