Barcelona | La Flauta | Rambla - A Must-Try Tapas Spot in Spain
This place is like the internet-famous tapas of Spain, often hailed as a must-try dish. Visitors from all over the world come to see what the fuss is about. They have two locations; the other one is La Flauta | Aribau. Opinions online are mixed about these two spots, but my experience at this one was pretty good, with excellent service. Both locations require you to queue on-site as reservations are not accepted. I went around 7 PM, and there wasn’t much of a crowd; I only waited about 15 minutes. Later in the evening, the line can get quite long. Note that there’s no Wi-Fi or signal inside, so it’s a fully immersive dining experience. As you enter, you can see their seafood 🦞 displayed in the showcase, looking very fresh. 🐟 Honey Codfish - The flavor is unique, with a sweet sauce and fresh cod. 🥩 Foie Gras Beef Steak Tapas - The foie gras is incredibly tender! The beef, foie gras, and bread combination is very satisfying, but eating foie gras alone can be a bit rich. 🍳 The scrambled eggs with foie gras are surprisingly delicious. The presentation is a bit hard to describe, but it contains mashed potatoes, mushrooms, foie gras, and eggs (these are the ingredients my friend and I identified, haha). 🦐 The seafood platter - The shrimp is very fresh, but one of the mussels was not fresh and a bit smelly. I didn’t have high hopes for this place, given that it’s a popular spot, but it was actually better than I expected. If you want to try it out, go ahead, but if you’re looking for a taste that lingers, you might want to search for other places. The bill for two was 58.8 euros, which isn’t too expensive. #Barcelona #Spain #BarcelonaFoodExploration #BarcelonaTravel #LivingInSpain #Food #SpainTravel #tapas #BarcelonaFood
