📍 Barcelona | Visited a Botanical Garden Built on a Cliff
I was truly amazed by the Jardí Botànic Marimurtra, a garden perched on the edge of a seaside cliff. 💙 No need to queue in Tossa anymore. In the town of Blanes, just an hour away from Barcelona, lies one of the most beautiful Mediterranean gardens - Jardí Botànic Marimurtra. Sunlight, flowers, and the jelly-like sea; every step feels like you've stepped into a fairy tale world. 🌷 It is one of only two gardens in the Catalonia region and has a history of over a hundred years. Founded in 1920 by Carl Faust, a German businessman who loved natural sciences. The garden covers an area of four hectares and is divided into three distinctive gardens with unique features. You can see about 4,000 types of plants from the five continents. The fiery aloe growing on the azure shore really took my breath away. 📍 The Temple of Linnaeus (TEMPLET DE LINNÉ) is one of the most unique architectural monuments in the garden. It is located in one of the most iconic corners of the Brava coast, with romantic architecture and a unique position in the first bay of the Brava coast. (Occasionally, it may close early for weddings, and it was closed from 1 PM on the day we visited. It's best to check the timings online before you go.) The botanical garden is not very large, with an admission fee of 10 euros, and 2-3 hours is enough to leisurely explore it. #BotanicalGarden #Spain #Barcelona #Europe #Garden #Seaside #ThatSeasideIAlwaysWantedToVisit #Plants #Landscape #Design #DesignInspiration #Art #LandscapeDesign #GardenDesign #Healing
