Barcelona 3-Day Itinerary 🇪🇸

Two weeks ago, on a whim, I gifted myself a trip to Barcelona for my 25th birthday—a city I’d longed to visit but never had the time for. My friend flew in from Rome 🛫, while I came from Florence, and we met at BCN Airport. We stayed near Ciutadella Park (close to Arc de Triomf), a safe and convenient area. Day 1️⃣: Arrival + Gaudí + Sunset Views Landed early, took the metro 🚇 to our hotel (Pro tip: We bought a 10-ride ticket, perfect for 3 days—but it doesn’t cover airport transfers!). First stop: La Triunfal (right across from Arc de Triomf) for fried squid rings and seafood paella 🥘 (delicious!). They even surprised us with dessert 🍮! Afternoon: Visited Casa Milà (La Pedrera) and Casa Batlló—both mind-blowing! The July sales made shopping nearby dangerously tempting. Evening: Rode the Barceloneta beach Ferris wheel 🎡 at sunset—seeing the city from above was pure magic. Worth every second! Day 2️⃣: Park Güell + Sagrada Família + Carmel Bunkers Morning: Explored Park Güell (book tickets 2 weeks early!). Spent 2 hours wandering its colorful mosaics and whimsical architecture. Afternoon: Sagrada Família—my #1 must-see in Barcelona! Stepping inside felt like entering a kaleidoscopic forest 🌳, with light dancing across the walls. (Download their app for audio guides 🎧—super helpful!) Evening: Watched sunset from El Carmel Bunkers (MUHBA Turó de la Rovira)—breezy, panoramic, and totally free! 🌄 Day 3️⃣: Gothic Quarter + Mercat de la Boqueria Leisurely city walk through the Gothic Quarter: Barcelona Cathedral ⛪️ Bridge of Sighs & El Muro del Beso (Kissing Wall) 💋 Mercat de la Boqueria: A foodie paradise! Fresh juices 🍹, Iberian ham, seafood, and a spicy empanada for breakfast—so good! Final Thoughts: Three days flew by—just enough to fall in love but leave room for next time (I missed churros and a proper sunrise 🌅). Barcelona, you’re stunning, and I’ll be back! ❤️ #Barcelona #EuropeTravel #Spain #Wanderlust #SagradaFamilia #ParkGüell #Gaudí #CasaMila #CasaBatllo #CarmelBunkers #BarcelonaSunset #TravelDiaries #CityBreak #TravelGram
