Barcelona Surroundings | Halloween Adventure at PortAventura & Ferrari

We booked our hotel + tickets + train tickets two months in advance on the official website. We stayed at the Colorado Creek on the west side, a miner-themed hotel that's really interesting and distinctive. The included round-trip tickets were for Tarragona station. Since Ferrari Land operates from 17:00 to 22:00 and PortAventura Park operates from 10:00 to 18:00, we checked in at 15:00, rested in our room for two hours, and then started with Ferrari Land. The park is quite small with only five main attractions. Unfortunately, the most thrilling ride, Red Force, was closed that day. 🧷 First, we queued for a long time to experience Flying Dreams, which is similar to the Soaring Over Horizon at Shanghai Disney but even more fun and realistic. 🧷 Next up was racing with Ferrari's mini BB cars, similar to Zootopia at Tokyo Disney. 🧷 You can also visit the Ferrari mini exhibition, check out the Ferrari store, and experience the Ferrari simulator. The park's restaurant also offers affordable set menus. From 21:00 to 22:00, when the park is about to close, there are very few people, so you can start riding the attractions. 🧷 We rushed to two free-fall rides, Thrilled Towers, and played Junior Red Force and piston loop rides with no queue at all, which was super enjoyable. The next day, after checking out of the hotel at 11:00, we left our luggage and started with PortAventura. We began from the Far West area, which is closest to the hotel exit. 🧷 The indoor dark roller coaster Enchanted with a mysterious sea theme and 3D movie effects was incredibly fun, with a thrill level that rivals Disney's Star Wars indoor roller coaster and even has a backward segment! 🧷 Then we rushed to the red and blue dual wooden roller coasters, which felt like a race against the neighbor. Next, the Mexico area 🇲🇽: 🧷 The must-play free-fall ride is a must-visit, with a drop angle that switches the seat perspective to downward instead of forward after reaching the top, making it feel like you're lying down as you plunge. 🧷 Temple of Fire is a live-action experience that makes you feel like you're treasure hunting in a temple. 🧷 The Demon Mine Coaster is also great fun; remember to fling your arms wide as you rush down. Next, the China area 🇨🇳: 🧷 First, we rushed to the third-tallest white roller coaster in Europe, reminiscent of the thrilling experience of Oblivion at Alton Towers. 🧷 The red Chinese Dragon roller coaster is more like a ten-loop, not very high but with crazy inversions. I personally prefer the centrifugal force, so I didn't ride this one. Next, the main entrance's Mediterranean area: The super-fast 30-second inversion roller coaster is also worth trying, as well as water rides, but I didn't go because of a cold. However, after two days of fun, I felt better. This place is really so much fun, and with the Halloween theme, there are many decorations around. #BarcelonaSurroundings #portAventura #Barcelona #BarcelonaStudy #BarcelonaLife #Halloween #BarcelonaTravel #BarcelonaGuide #FerrariLand #FerrariLandRollerCoaster
