Baron’s ｜ Peking Duck Takes Over Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, the roast duck played the leading role. We enjoyed a “Chinese-style Thanksgiving” feast at Baron’s. Their $188 family set menu is perfect for gatherings. While the duck may not rival Vancouver’s, Baron’s roast duck is definitely the star of Seattle’s roast duck scene. ⸻ 🥢 Starters Orange Honey Spareribs Crispy on the outside with a hint of honey sweetness. The tangy orange cuts through the richness perfectly. 😋 Prawns with Golden Pineapple and Passion Fruit Fruity and slightly sweet, but the prawns themselves are wonderfully springy. 🍤 ⸻ 🥢 Main Courses Baron’s Signature Peking Duck The “star” of our Thanksgiving meal. The skin was incredibly crispy—you could hear it crackle with every bite. 🌟 Sprinkled with osmanthus flowers, it was fragrant, delicate, and full of holiday vibes. Black Pepper Wagyu Beef Cubes Surprisingly delicious! Peppery, perfectly wok-fried, tender beef, and a great match with the green peppers. 🔥 Braised Pork Belly (Dongpo Pork) Pretty average. 😅 ⸻ 🥢 Add-ons Poached Wagyu in Spicy Broth Fragrant, tender, and packed with flavor—the most satisfying add-on of the meal! 🌶️ Mapo Tofu Authentic or not—depends on who you ask—but overall mild and not very spicy.
