Bay Area Sunset | Albany Bulb, Berkeley 🌉🌅

Getting there: Just search "Albany Bulb" on your maps app. The parking lot has plenty of spaces—super easy! 🅿️ From the parking area, walk west a short distance and you'll see two trail options: South trail: Leads to a quirky little structure called "Mad Marc's Castle" 🏰 North trail: Takes you to the "Lightbulb" art installation and other sculptures along the East End of the Albany Waterfront Trail 💡 From the trail, you get a great view of the city skyline 🏙️. The highlight is definitely the vibrant graffiti art everywhere 🎨. The colors are so bright and cheerful! I later learned this area used to be a landfill, and the art is painted on all sorts of repurposed materials like concrete, and driftwood. I really loved the abandoned, desolate, and slightly chaotic vibe of this trail 🏚️. It even felt a bit eerie at times—you never know what strange artwork you might discover around the next corner. It's definitely a different atmosphere from your typical relaxing waterfront walk.
