Belgium Bruges Travelogue 🇧🇪⛪🚣

Upon setting foot in this place, it felt like stepping through time and into the Middle Ages. The weather was quite cold, which added an air of mystery to the ancient city. We only had a simple itinerary that included a few classic attractions: Historium Bruges, Market Square, and the Belfry of Bruges. 🏰 Belfry of Bruges: The cobblestone streets of Bruges are winding and narrow, flanked by colorful Gothic buildings. Every step is a view, and every glance is a glimpse into history. This is the symbol of the city. Climbing to the top of the Belfry offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Historium Bruges: Step back into the golden age through films, sets, and special effects that bring the past to life. You can also put on VR glasses for a virtual flight over medieval architecture or climb the Historium Tower to enjoy a unique 360° panorama of Bruges' contemporary cityscape and the Belfry. 🌆 Market Square: The Market Square of Bruges is the beating heart of the city, long dominated by the 83-meter-high Belfry. The grandeur of the Provincial Court and the many colorful stepped gables left us impressed. In the center of the square stands the statue of Jan Breydel and Pieter de Coninck, folk heroes who played important roles in the Flemish resistance during the French occupation in 1302. 🍫 Chocolate Paradise: Belgium is world-famous for its chocolate, and you can find a chocolate shop around almost every corner. The variety here is incredible, ranging from classic truffles to creative chocolate sculptures. Each piece is a work of art. The local handmade chocolates are a must-try in Belgium, often boasting richer flavors and textures. It's truly a feast for the taste buds. Waffles: Freshly made waffles are ubiquitous on the streets of Bruges. Their grid-like appearance and slightly crispy exterior, combined with a soft interior, make for a delightful treat. Paired with fresh strawberries and cream, every bite is a sweet indulgence. 🎨 Cultural Experience: Bruges is not only a witness to history but also a cradle of art. Here, you can visit numerous museums and art galleries to immerse yourself in the artistic atmosphere.🎭 The beauty of Bruges lies not only in its architecture and scenery but also in its leisurely and tranquil atmosphere. Time seems to slow down here, encouraging visitors to slow their pace and savor life. History, culture, cuisine, beautiful views, and a rare sense of peace can all be found in Bruges.🌹🧳🌍 #BelgiumBruges #LightTravel #MedievalCharm #FoodExploration #CulturalExperience #Bruges
