Berlin Dining | Truffle Pasta Perfection at đ Italian Little Kitchen
So delicious! Even a one-star Michelin in New York can't compare. Berlin truly has hidden gems everywhere! đ We had dinner here on Sunday after visiting KW Institute. The location is fantasticâjust a 3-minute walk from KW Institute and near an S1 station exit. But it's not on a busy street, so itâs quiet and clean. Perfect for a casual date or a meal with friends. đ¸ď¸ The restaurant is quite small, with the wine cabinet, dining area, and seating all in one cozy space. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like dining in an Italian friendâs home. They offer a variety of homemade pastas and light, non-greasy desserts. đ˛ Appetizers đ˝ Wow, let me tell you, you have to order the đŚ here! Itâs a very traditional and authentic đŽđš hot appetizerâItalian-stuffed squid. The squid is tender and delicious, with a delicate, white, and smooth texture. The accompanying sauce melts in your mouth. The cooking is just perfect. The complimentary bread and crispy chips they serve are also amazing (maybe I was just really hungry that day, but they were fantastic). Pasta đ Different pastas (spaghetti, penne, fusilli, fettuccine, etc.) are paired with various sauces and toppings. You can choose based on your favorite flavors or preferred pasta types. The chefâs skills are top-notch, and you can trust their pairingsâtheyâre so delicious youâll want to lick the plate. The truffle pasta is out of this world. The flavors of truffle and cream are incredibly rich. When you twirl the pasta with your fork, include a slice or two of truffle. The richness infuses every strand. The portion is just rightâenough to satisfy without being overwhelming. Itâs pure bliss. We also ordered the đ đ tomato and clam pasta, which was quite good. The marinated tomatoes are the highlightâjuicy, flavorful, and very refreshing. The clams were a bit salty for my taste, and the pasta was on the firmer side. If you like al dente pasta and seafood, this is a good choice. Dessert đŽ There arenât many dessert options. We tried the tiramisu, which was decent. Since we make amazing tiramisu at home, it didnât blow us away. Italian Wine đˇ The wine selection is excellent. They have Bianco (white wine), Rosso (red wine), and RosĂŠ sparkling wine. The staff are also good at recommending wines based on your preferences. Overall, itâs a great spot for chatting and enjoying drinks. Iâll definitely be back for the squid and truffle pasta. There are a few downsides: the service can be a bit slow, especially during peak hours when the restaurant is busy. But since itâs not a fine dining place, itâs tolerable.
