Berlin Free Attractions: Jewish Museum Berlin 🕍✨

One of the must-visit museums in Berlin is the Jewish Museum Berlin, and the best part is—it's free! Just ask for two "free tickets" at the counter. The museum is huge, with four levels. You start on the U level, which displays various historical records. On the E level, one of the most famous installations is the Memory of the Void—a floor covered with metal faces made of copper. As you walk over them, they make clattering noises, which is quite an experience. 😯🎭 The second floor is where the main exhibition begins, and it's massive, filled with interactive installations—music, text, animations, and audio. It takes around two hours to explore, and for a free museum, the experience is surprisingly fantastic! 🕰️🎶 DDR Museum (DDR stands for Deutsche Demokratische Republik, East Germany) is located just across the river from Berlin Cathedral. After visiting the cathedral, you can pop over here! It's one of the most visited museums in Berlin, and tickets cost €13. 🎟️🏛️ The museum showcases the everyday life of East Germany and brings history to life with highly interactive exhibits. Although it's just one floor, the design is very clever—every cabinet can be opened to reveal different exhibits and information. There’s even a recreation of an East German home, complete with a master bedroom, children's room, kitchen, bathroom, living room, kindergarten, prison, and interrogation room—each with its own interactive elements. It’s so much fun! If you're interested in history and politics, you should definitely check it out. 🛏️📚🏠 #Germany #Berlin #BerlinMustSee #JewishMuseumBerlin
