Berlin Hangmee Highly Recommended 🌟🍽️
🌟 I recently dined at an amazing Laotian and Thai restaurant. The flavors were quite similar to what I've had in Laos and Thailand, but a bit milder. After all, authentic Laotian cuisine is incredibly spicy, which might be too much for Europeans. However, I prefer this modified version, as it's kinder to the stomach... 🌟 One great thing about this place is that they offer 32 small dishes, tapas-style, allowing you to sample a variety of flavors in one go. The waiter suggested ordering two or three dishes per person. Our group of three, two men and one woman, ordered 8 small dishes, 2 portions of sticky rice, 1 portion of white rice, 3 desserts 🍮, and 3 drinks 🥤. 🌟 Drinks: Thai iced milk tea + Vientiane Winter Tea (hot mint ginger tea). 🌟 Small dishes: Green papaya salad, sausages, spring rolls, red curry, stir-fried beef, stir-fried pork belly, duck curry, and stir-fried eggplant with vegetables. 🌟 They have only two desserts: Pistachio ice cream with sticky rice 🍦 Sago fruit sweet soup 🥣 ✨ Price: 80 euros ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ Thai iced milk tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ Hot mint ginger tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ Taste of small dishes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✨ Taste of desserts ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌟 My favorites were the papaya salad, curries, and various stir-fried dishes, all of which were very palatable with rice. The papaya salad would have been even better if it was spicier; you might want to ask the waiter for a spicier version. 🌟 Both desserts were too sweet for my taste. The pistachio ice cream was probably the kind you can find in German supermarkets, topped with sesame and peanut crumbs, which was quite fragrant. However, the sticky rice and coconut milk underneath were too sweet for me. The sago sweet soup was also overly sweet... I personally wouldn't recommend it, but those who love sweets might want to give it a try. 🌟 Lastly, you can directly make reservations on Google Maps. We booked a table for Saturday night on Saturday morning, and it was quite busy that evening. #GermanLife #BerlinFoodExploration #LaotianCuisine #Berlin #PhDStudentLife
