Beverly Hills Michelin-Worthy Viral Curry Rice 🍛

Usually when I’m in Beverly Hills, I crave sukiyaki — most places there serve “pretty food” for dinner. But this time, I wanted something simple for lunch and stumbled upon this curry spot on Red — hyped as the “ultimate curry rice” 😂 and opened by a Michelin-starred chef. As a food blogger, I sensed some marketing vibes from the posts (phrases like “no competition❗️,” “Michelin chef 👨‍🍳,” “Wagyu that looks premade 🚩”) — but I decided to try it anyway. Surprise — Chubby Curry didn’t disappoint! Maybe not as mind-blowing as some claim, but definitely delicious curry rice — and a great lunch option when most fancy spots only open for dinner. 🥩 Signature — Wagyu Curry Rice A bit of “photo vs. reality” here — the Wagyu slices were smaller than pictured. But the meat was tasty! Recommend adding extra meat for $10. The curry tasted a bit like store-bought curry roux at first, but you can detect a subtle sweetness from radish. It’s lighter, not too heavy or intense. Includes tender braised beef pieces — my friend and I agreed we’d order this again. 🦆 Shareable — Roast Duck Rice Looks tempting, served with smoky aroma and nice presentation. Over $50 but truly enough for two people — the bowl is seriously deep! The curry sauce is similar to the Wagyu version, just cooked with shredded duck. The duck is well-prepared: breast cooked perfectly with crispy skin, leg and wing roasted until fragrant (though a bit messy to eat). Seeing the dry-aging duck cabinet assured me the quality was there. It can get rich after a while — sides help cut through. Best for 2–3 people. 🔥 Overall vibe is great — around $30+ per person to get full. A bit more refined than CoCo, similar price range — definitely recommend! P.S. The painted pottery shop next door is super cute — great for a post-meal stroll or a relaxed date spot. Chubby Curry, Beverly Hills #BeverlyHills #LAFood #Foodie #CurryLover #CurryRice #LALife 🍛✨
