Bhutan Travel Journal 1 | Gangtey Phobjikha Valley
✨In Gangtey, one of the most unforgettable experiences was hiking through the Phobjikha Valley. Shaped like a U, Phobjikha Valley is one of Bhutan's most beautiful and famous natural hiking trails. ❤️Beyond its stunning scenery, the valley boasts incredible biodiversity. Even on a short walk, you can encounter a variety of flora and fauna. 🩵I started my journey from Gangtey Monastery, passing through local villages and walking through forests and lowland plains. The two-hour hike was so captivating that I didn’t want to leave. In late January, Bhutan’s mountains were plagued by wildfires, and the dry, cold air and gentle breeze carried the smoke far and wide. 🌈The valley was shrouded in layers of mist, both thin and thick. As sunlight filtered through the haze and illuminated the land, it felt like stepping into a fairy tale. 🌿Visiting Bhutan in winter also offers the chance to see black-necked cranes. These cranes migrate from regions north of the Himalayas to Phobjikha Valley in late autumn and winter, staying until spring before flying back. Seeing them up close and in person was a truly precious experience. #BhutanTravel #SoulfulJourney #Bhutan #Gangtey #TravelPlog #TravelShare#Gangtey Monastery#bhutan guide#travel journal#travel guide#trip dairy#Wangdue
