Big Bear Lake｜A 4.9-Star Hawaiian Poke Spot That’s Truly Delicious! 🏔

🏠 Tropicali 📍 40616 Village Dr, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315 We made a spontaneous trip to Big Bear Lake and did some quick research. Looking through Google Maps, we noticed the food scene here is mostly American, Mexican, and pizza… But we stumbled upon this Hawaiian spot—with over 1,400+ Google reviews and a stunning 4.9/5 rating! 🤯 We arrived around 1 PM and still had to wait in line to order—about 15 minutes or so. While queuing, a super-friendly staff member came over to ask if it was our first time. When we said yes, they enthusiastically introduced their signature poke bowls and explained the menu icons: 🍍 means sweet, and ☠️ means spicy. Their energy level was Disneyland-level—maybe even higher—so infectious and fun! 🎪 Besides poke, their teriyaki chicken (TIKIYAKI) is also super popular. We ordered two poke bowls, one waffle, and a smoothie. Their poke is all made with tuna—just different toppings and sauces. We got one spicy and one sweet version. 🍣 PELE BOWL – This one has a spicy sauce, kind of like volcano-level heat 🌶️. You can ask for the sauce on the side to control the spice. Really tasty! 👍 Recommended. 🍣 KRAKEN BOWL – This one has a sweet sauce, similar to eel rice sauce. If I had to choose, I’d pick this one! Loved it! 🍯 Recommended. 🧇 ISLAND STYLE WAFFLE – Waffle with coconut cream. It was delicious, but very sweet—especially the waffle itself, which was loaded with sugar. For two people, it felt a bit overwhelming. Not highly recommended unless you’re sharing with a group. 🥤 PINA COLADIDADI – A pineapple + coconut combo.
