Étouffée is a classic Southern dish from New Orleans — similar to gumbo, often called “America’s curry rice.” Since it wasn’t crawfish season, the crawfish were frozen and a few had a slight earthy taste, but overall, it was still tasty. The seafood boil didn’t wow us though. The deal was great — buy 3 lbs, get 1 lb free shrimp 🦐. The shell-on shrimp were fresh, but other seafood was frozen, and the seasoning wasn’t as punchy as The Boiling Crab.
