Bistro in the Old Town of Slovakia
I found a restaurant with a Google rating of 4.9, offering European and Central European cuisine plus a Wine Bar. The service was great š, with explanations for each dish and wine recommendations. Overall, it was worth the experience. š„£ Trout From Budmerice, the trout had a cured flavor with a rich sauce (beetroot, peach, and thyme). Since I'm not a big fan of cured fish, I'd give it 6/10. š„£ Beef Tartare The chef clearly knows what they're doing. The beef, cut from the flank, was more tender with lower fat content, giving it a good chew. The addition of mushrooms added an extra layer of flavor. I'd rate it 9/10.ššš š„£ Artichoke Soup A creamy artichoke soup with a cheese garnish and hazelnuts, finished with winter black truffle. It was incredibly aromatic. 7/10. š„£ Sturgeon The sturgeon was tender, complemented by the delicate flavors of soybean sauce and saffron. I'd give it 8/10. š„£ Chicken Liver As a Chinese person, I was surprised to find the chicken liver prepared with a foie gras-like texture. It was very tender, seasoned with miso and goji berry sauceāa nice blend of Asian and European flavors. 6/10.
